Cross-site Teaching and Open Educational Resources (OER): A North-South Collaboration Project

The goal of the fellowship is to advance the cross-site teaching project between the Universities of Pretoria and Düsseldorf which is based on digital methodology. Key objective of the project is to broaden the student´s perspective on theoretical, empirical, and methodological principles, to take comparative perspectives on the latest issues and challenges, and, by this means, to learn from one another´s scientific background and point of view. This goal is to be achieved not only through the pooling and transfer of competence and expertise but the intensive student debate both in class and online. Supported by the advantages of inverted classroom and blended learning, digital platforms provide students the opportunity to access joint contents, to share and discuss respective issues, and to implement common projects. To guarantee sustainability, the content produced will be published as part of an Open Educational Resources (OER) platform.
